Sara has a personalised approach to therapy, as she believes each person is unique and that no single treatment works for everyone. She works with her clients in a way that suits their desires, needs and abilities. She provides tailored care and support based on compassion, dignity and respect for the life her clients have lived so far and their goals for the future.

Experience and Interests

Sara is skilled and trained in providing therapy for a range of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, phobias, disordered eating, trauma and relationship issues.

Sara also has a background in providing counselling to people with disabilities, and has done extensive research on the link between disability, social stigma and mental health.

Sara also takes an interest in working with clients with Personality Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, OCD and Social Anxiety, and has worked with clients from diverse ethnic backgrounds, people with diverse gender identity and sexual orientation, and people with disabilities and chronic health issues.


Sara is trained in a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brief Solution Focussed Therapy and mindfulness. She is committed to learning about various treatment modalities and their applications, based on her client’s desires and needs.

Sara is also trained in and experienced with Eating Disorders and is recognised as a Credentialed Eating Disorders Clinician by the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED).

Sara Personally

Sara is an outdoors person. She enjoys meditating on the beach, swimming under the sky and hiking. She loves dancing and going to the theatre. When time allows, Sara bakes and enjoys inventing cake and dessert recipes.
