Here are some words from our current psychologists on what it’s like to work at Peaceful Mind Psychology:

Alice
Psychologist

Peaceful Mind Psychology was my first position as a psychologist in private practice and it has been a wonderful and supportive place to work. I have experienced significant professional growth and maturity as a clinician through the professional development and training that has been provided- particularly within the field of eating disorders. Peaceful Mind has provided a great balance of support whilst also allowing me to challenge myself with a diverse client load. In addition, the admin team and management are fantastic and always happy to help troubleshoot any difficulties.

Emily
Psychologist

As an early-career psychologist, the idea of working in private practice is, in my opinion, quite daunting. Thankfully, during my almost two years working at PMP, I have felt incredibly supported and valued. The core principles of PMP are evident throughout the entire workplace - from the calming environment in the rooms, to the management and admin team who are always there to help with such care and kindness, to the lovely, skilled psychologists that I am lucky enough to learn from in various professional development opportunities. There is a strong emphasis on psychologist work satisfaction, which is well balanced with encouraging us to develop as psychologists. I feel very grateful to work at PMP!

Alice
Clinical Psychologist

Peaceful Mind Psychology is an incredibly warm, supportive and inclusive place to work, with a lot of opportunities for growth and learning. The practice hosts various social gatherings, peer supervision groups and professional development training days. This fosters connection and collaboration between psychologists on the team. The beautifully designed practices and rooms create a calm working environment. There is a keen emphasis on self-care and opportunities to align client work with individual areas of interest and strengths. I feel very lucky to work at Peaceful Mind Psychology.

Lauren
Clinical Psychologist

I have been working at Peaceful Mind for 3.5 years, and have always felt so supported in my work as a psychologist, and as a person. The team approaches everything with such care, and work mindfully to ensure both our psychologists and our clients are at the forefront of all decisions. They are always looking for ways they can enhance the practice and give their psychologists opportunity for growth through professional development, social catch-ups, and collaborative problem-solving, and I have seen my skills and confidence develop so much through working here. The rooms are also beautiful, which makes it such a nice environment to work in.

Rhiannon
Psychologist

Peaceful Mind is an incredibly supportive, inclusive and caring workplace. Their administration and leadership team are always available and are an absolute delight to work with. Peaceful Mind have a focus on psychologist wellbeing which is reflected in their professional development opportunities and training, peer supervision / consults, staff events as well as by staff and management checking in to see how you are. I feel truly valued at Peaceful Mind and look forward to coming to such a wonderful workplace every week.

Olivia
Psychologist

The continued support provided by Peaceful Mind Psychology has helped ground my skills as an early career psychologist, and allowed me to focus on my clients. They go the extra mile to ensure you’re feeling supported and comfortable working as an independent professional, where there are also plenty of opportunities to connect with other psychologists. My experience of Peaceful Mind is that they understand that a well-supported psych has the best clinical outcomes for their clients; PMP's comprehensive admin support goes above the usual administration processes, and there are chances to grow through the extensive array of peer supervision and CPD opportunities consistently offered throughout the year.

Yukti
Psychologist

Working at Peaceful mind psychology has been a pleasure. I have felt extremely supported by the PMP team. It is a positive environment, with great work/life balance. There are often check ins and peer supervision, there is always help available, if needed. I felt genuinely cared for and welcomed throughout my time at PMP. The monthly and quaterly in-house trainings have been so useful in my practice. Thank you to the whole PMP team and I am proud to have been a part of it.

From my first day at Peaceful Mind, I felt incredibly supported and valued by every single member of the team. I soon learned that no question was too silly from the amazing admin angel, Amelda, and felt at home in the lovely Hawthorn rooms! For any psychologist thinking of beginning their journey in a group practice, I couldn’t recommend Peaceful Mind Psychology highly enough!

Erin
Psychologist

I love working with Peaceful Mind Psychology. It is a supportive workplace that promotes learning, warmth and a client centred approach. Their administration team is available and diligent, who put thought and effort into pairing clients with the psychologist who might be the best fit with consideration to your caseload. The leadership team is incredibly approachable, caring and genuine. The staff events are relaxing and fun, providing a chance to connect socially with the like minded team. Overall, it is an empowering and understanding workplace that appreciates individuality of approaches and also provides training for upskilling in CBT-E. I truly feel valued at peaceful mind.

Mahlia
Psychologist

As an early career psychologist, I was slightly hesitant to begin working in private practice due to concerns about the level of support I would receive. However, since my first day at Peaceful Mind, I have felt nothing but supported by the staff and fellow psychologists here, finding everyone to be extremely warm and welcoming. I have really enjoyed my time so far at Peaceful Mind and through the group supervision program and professional development opportunities offered by the practice, I have also been able to continue developing my knowledge and skills.

Dani
Previous Psychologist at Peaceful Mind Psychology

Peaceful Mind Psychology has been a great place to start my career in private practice as a clinical psychology registrar. There has been ample support through the warm work environment, peer supervision, one to one support by principal psychologist, and peer consultation groups. There has also been great training opportunities with CBT-E. PMP has provided me with a positive transition into private practice, as I feel part of a team rather than a sole practitioner.

Claire
Previous Psychologist at Peaceful Mind Psychology

As an early career psychologist, I was looking for a practice that emphasised support and connection. Peaceful Mind stood out because of its strong focus on psychologist wellbeing and self-care, as well as peer relationships and support. Since starting at Peaceful Mind, I have felt cared for, valued, and supported in commencing private practice work.

Kate
Psychologist

I feel very fortunate to have found Peaceful Mind Psychology early in my career. From the onset, I have felt extremely welcomed and supported by all the caring Peaceful Mind staff. I was initially concerned that working in private practice would be somewhat isolating. However, due to being surrounded by like-minded psychologists and the incredible support team, I have never felt on my own. Natalie and her team have set up the practice considering every imaginable detail to ensure our workdays run as smoothly as possible, allowing us to focus more on providing an optimal service for my clients, and less on admin procedures that often accompanies private practice.

Matina
Previous psychologist at Peaceful Mind

Since starting at Peaceful Mind Psychology at the beginning of the year, I have felt very well supported. This is a testament to the incredible professional development opportunities offered by the PMP team and their commitment to creating a positive work environment conducive to meeting both client and professional needs. Proud to be part of the PMP team!

Carina
Clinical Psychologist

Being new at PMP I was welcomed by very friendly and inclusive fellow staff, from administration and management to the other psychologists. There is a focus on psychologists’ wellbeing at the practice reflected in scheduling to allow for good work/life balance, PD opportunities, social gatherings, and peer supervision, as well as a lovely aesthetic to the practice itself. It has been a pleasure working here so far and I look forward to the future.

Taash
Psychologist

Peaceful Mind is in an incredibly supportive, understanding and inclusive workplace. Open communication is always encouraged and regular check-ins and supervision meant that my introduction to private practice was as seamless as possible. Through our social events, it has been evident that each staff member is welcoming and keen to give you any assistance should you need any. The reception team have always been more than helpful and patient with me - especially when I was learning how to navigate new software. I have been part of many workplace teams to date, and some previous poor experiences left me hesitant about entering into a new one. Peaceful Mind regained my confidence about entering a new workspace and I have never felt more supported and listened to.
