Approach

Nathan is a registered psychologist with a range of experience working in the community services, education & private practice sectors.

Experiences and Interests

Nathan began his journey working in the Community Services, first as a Case Manager in a therapeutic foster care program and then as a Family Therapist. Nathan developed therapeutic skills in these roles which allowed him to not just look at the individual but also the system around them including their immediate family and wider community. Nathan has a strong interest in working with men and boys on issues specific to their demographic as well as with neurodivergent clients including those with Autism and ADHD.

Therapies

Nathan works within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework. He also incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Existential Therapy approaches. This means Nathan explores the thought patterns that may be unhelpful in his clients lives but also invites them to consider and explore the deeper meaning in their lives.

How Is Nathan Described By His Clients

Nathan’s clients describe him as patient, empathetic, and willing to go at their pace through the therapeutic process whether that be for one session or long term.

Nathan Personally

Nathan lives with his family including his two cats Maddox and Myles. He enjoys writing and playing music as well as watching new films and series on Netflix.
