Mary adopts a client-centred, collaborative, and strengths-based therapeutic approach. She aims to empower clients, support them through their therapeutic journey of discovery, foster their development of life skills, and assist them in strengthening their coping capabilities. Therapy is guided by the client, and clients are supported throughout the process.

Experiences and Interests

Mary has experience working with clients across the lifespan, in both public and private mental health settings. She has provided individual and group therapy in hospital, private practice, and school settings. Mary has an interest in working with clients on the management of stress, burnout, depression, self-esteem, anxiety, trauma-related issues, grief, life transitions, adjustment, pain, substance use or addiction issues, interpersonal or relationship difficulties, and sleep-related problems.

This may typically include elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
