Dillon’s approach to therapy is centred around finding a balance between adaptive change in behaviour and cognition, and acceptance. Dillon hones unconditional positive regard for his clients, which allows him to be gentle, patient and genuine.

Experiences and Interests

His extensive work experience includes roles in prisons, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres, behavioural change programs, crisis centres, employment services, and the disability sector. Dillon’s clinical focus centres on Personality Disorders, Anxiety based disorders, and neurodivergence, particularly ADHD and OCD. However, he enjoys working with a diverse range of clients and welcomes all presentations and problems in his practice.

Therapies

Dillon works from a model of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and incorporates Schema Therapy where appropriate. Dillon’s former degree, a Master of Psychotherapy, means that a primary focus is gaining insight into one’s self. Dillon will also include elements of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy where helpful, and will also use elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
