Approach

Anthony believes that the connection between the psychologist and the client is the most essential component of psychological therapy. Anthony strives to build a thorough understanding of the client’s life narrative and overarching concerns that antecede the therapeutic space. Anthony is an advocate for active client involvement and will work with the client closely to develop the most appropriate treatment plan to overcome issues in their lives.

Experience and Interests

Anthony has had experience working across a range of settings including inpatient mental health, disability, private practice, child, adult, family systems, and psychological rehabilitation within the private sector. Across these settings, he has provided individual, family, and group therapy. He has a particular interest in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, perfectionism, emotional dysregulation difficulties, and relationship issues.

Anthony draws upon a range of evidence-based modalities which are tailored to best support the needs and goals of the individual. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
