One of the cornerstones of Alex’s approach is the fostering of a non-judgmental and accepting space where clients feel free to express themselves authentically. Drawing on a diverse range of therapeutic techniques and modalities, Alex tailors each session to meet the unique needs and personality of the individual client. Alex adopts a thoughtful and collaborative approach when selecting the most appropriate therapeutic techniques to facilitate growth, insight, and change.
Experiences and Interests
Alex has experience working with individuals across the lifespan in private, public, and educational settings. Alex has experience working with anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, grief and bereavement, self-esteem issues, living with chronic illness, alcohol and substance use issues, trauma, personality disorders, and bipolar disorder.
Therapies
Alex strives to adopt an eclectic therapeutic approach in which she draws from a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness. Alex aims to tailor therapy to best suit the goals and needs of each client via a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.

Outside of the therapy room, Alex enjoys travelling, reading, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. She loves trying new cafés and restaurants around Melbourne and is always open to recommendations!
