Pronouns: She/Her

Elisa is a warm and compassionate psychologist. She values a therapeutic journey where clients feel safe, understood and supported. She adopts a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to therapy, fostering an environment that is built on trust, collaboration and authenticity.

Approach

Elisa works with clients across the lifespan experiencing challenges relating to anxiety, mood, emotional dysregulation, perfectionism, sleep difficulties, trauma, relationships and interpersonal difficulties, grief/loss, adjustment and life transitions, stress, burnout and self-esteem. Her therapeutic work is grounded in evidence-based practice, tailoring interventions based on each client’s unique needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Elisa takes a trauma-informed approach to therapy, prioritising safety, collaboration and authenticity, while creating a space where clients feel comfortable to show up as they are.

Elisa finds it deeply rewarding to support her clients as they develop insight, emotional clarity and meaningful change that aligns with their values. Elisa is particularly interested in how early experiences, stress and life transitions can shape the way we respond to ourselves and the external world. She helps clients build insight into their emotional responses, understand what drives their behaviours and develop greater flexibility in how they relate to difficult thoughts, feelings and situations.

Experience and Interests

Elisa has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and older adults across school, private practice and community settings. She has supported clients with a wide range of presentations, including emotional regulation, depression, anxiety and mood concerns, relationship and family difficulties, adjustment-related concerns, grief/loss and trauma. Elisa enjoys working with adults, especially those who find self-compassion difficult or are working to develop a kinder relationship with themselves.

Elisa is currently completing her Clinical Registrar Program to obtain clinical endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Therapies

Elisa draws upon a range of evidence-based psychological approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and mindfulness-based approaches.
