Pronouns: She/Her
Diana is a warm, collaborative psychologist with over twenty years’ experience supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including workplace stress, life transitions, anxiety, and perfectionism. She takes a practical, client-centred approach, drawing on evidence-based therapies to build insight, teach useful skills, and support meaningful change.
Approach
Diana is collaborative and client-focussed. She works with individuals, 16 years and over, to help them clarify the factors contributing to and maintaining their difficulties, as well as to identify meaningful goals for change. She places a strong emphasis on psycho-education and the transfer of practical skills, using a flexible, evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Experience and Interests
In addition to over twenty years’ experience in private counselling, Diana has had extensive consulting experience working with government agencies, not-for-profit organisations, and private sector companies, particularly in matters involving psychosocial harms reported by their employees. This broad background has resulted in a multidisciplinary perspective and has been supported by her training in psychology, law, and mediation. This training, along with her clinical and consulting experience, has proven particularly valuable in enabling Diana to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem related to workplace bullying, harassment, and interpersonal conflict—whether in organisations or between individuals. Beyond workplace-related issues, Diana has a strong interest in helping clients navigate significant life transitions. These include completing secondary school and transitioning to tertiary education, balancing work and family commitments, caring for ageing parents, coping with chronic health conditions, preparing for retirement, and dealing with issues surrounding death and dying. She also has a strong interest in supporting clients struggling with perfectionistic concerns and the distress these can cause.
Therapies
In tailoring therapy to best suit the goals and needs of clients, Diana draws on evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy (ST), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relaxation training.
