Blanka is a warm and empathetic psychologist who strives to provide a calm, safe and non-judgemental space for her clients. She brings openness and curiosity to the therapy room, and aims to support people towards improved wellbeing, increased self-awareness and meaningful change.
Approach
Blanka’s approach is person-centred and collaborative. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to successful therapy, and is passionate about creating nurturing connections through which people can explore and reflect on their challenges. She aims to create a shared understanding of clients’ difficulties, invite new perspectives, and foster clients’ own agency, strengths and insight.
Experience and Interests
Blanka has gained most of her experience in the not-for-profit sector, supporting people to navigate complex mental health challenges. She has worked with young people through to mature-aged clients. Blanka has supported people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and having migrated to Australia as a young adult, she has a first-hand experience of some of the unique challenges of relocation. Blanka is interested in working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, emotional difficulties, trauma, self-esteem, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and adjusting to life transitions.
Therapies
Blanka likes taking a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, tailoring interventions to best suit the unique needs of each client. She draws on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, mostly utilising aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT).

Outside of work, Blanka enjoys being in nature, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with loved ones, including her two cats.
