Pronouns: She/Her

Alle is a warm and attuned psychological who places strong importance on providing a safe and nurturing space for her clients to explore their experiences and work towards their recovery goals.

Approach

In her practice, Alle places significant importance on providing her clients with a safe and non-judgemental space to begin to build relational safety and trust within the therapeutic relationship, which she believes is key for positive outcomes. Much of her practice is guided by the core principles of trauma-informed care, such as transparency, collaboration, empowerment, and safety, as well as continuing conscientiousness and empathy.

Alle remains mindful that many clients seeking therapy may not have experienced nurturing or validating interpersonal relationships throughout their early lives, and attending therapy may be the first opportunity to connect with someone in a meaningful and non-judgemental way. Alle also understands that many difficulties that clients may experience with their emotions and behaviours are likely to be adaptations to their environment and can be understood as attempts to survive difficult circumstances.

Alle works respectfully with her clients to obtain a thorough understanding of both their current difficulties and any relevant past experiences that may assist in collaboratively developing the most appropriate treatment plan. She also appreciates that each client is unique, and therapy must therefore be tailored to meet each client’s individual needs and preferences; whilst also ensuring therapy is grounded in empirical evidence.

Experiences and Interests

Alle has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families/carers across multiple settings, including public mental health services, inpatient psychiatric units, youth homelessness services, educational settings, and private practice.

Throughout these roles, Alle has a special interest in working with young people and early adults with bipolar spectrum disorders, complex trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic stress, and psychosis; and is also experienced in working with a range of other psychological and psychosocial concerns. These include personality disorders, anxiety disorders and depression, as well as interpersonal difficulties, situational crises, and life transitions. Alle is passionate about working alongside her clients to elicit understanding of their experience and working together towards integrative healing.

In her work outside of Peaceful Mind Psychology, Alle works in a public mental health service, working with young people with first episode psychosis and bipolar spectrum disorders, with a strong emphasis on early intervention, family involvement, and continuing evidence-based research. Further, Alle has published a paper exploring the role of schizotypal personality on self-perception, and presented a research poster regarding schema therapy informed formulation of bipolar spectrum disorders at an international conference.

Alle is currently completing the Clinical Psychology Registrar Program to obtain clinical endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia, due for completion in early 2027.

Therapies

In her practice, Alle utilises a person-centred and individualised approach, depending on each client’s needs. This involves drawing upon various evidence-based psychological approaches, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy. Alle also utilises trauma-informed theories, such as Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory to inform her practice; and is experienced in CBT for psychosis (CBTp) and Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (ISRT) for bipolar disorders.

How Is Alle Described By Her Clients?

Alle’s clients would describe her as warm, compassionate, authentic, and appropriately funny, allowing them to feel comfortable and safe within the therapeutic space.

Alle Personally

In her personal life, Alle enjoys going out for dinner with her loved ones and travelling to new places around the world. She also loves to attend live music events, drinking too many caramel iced lattes, and fussing over her ever-growing collection of house plants and décor.
