Abanti is a compassionate and non-judgmental psychologist who strives to make the therapeutic journey as productive and impactful as possible. She balances professional insight with a genuine warmth that ensures her clients feel safe, heard, and at ease.

Approach

Abanti’s therapeutic approach is deeply client-centered and collaborative. Recognising that no two journeys are the same, she provides a tailored experience for every individual, ensuring that therapy fits the person rather than forcing the person to fit a specific model. Abanti also believes that the relationship between the therapist and client is the most powerful tool for change.

Experiences and Interests

Abanti has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults across both private practice and school settings. She supports clients navigating depression, anxiety, stress, personality disorders, trauma, and grief. Beyond general practice, she has a keen interest in supporting those with chronic health conditions, those navigating significant life transitions, and enhancing interpersonal dynamics through relationship therapy.

Therapies

Abanti uses various evidence-based approaches in therapy and has experience in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills, and Mindfulness to clients. She also has experience in providing relationship/couple’s therapy. She also integrates elements from emotion-focused and attachment-based frameworks, particularly in her work with couples and individuals exploring relational patterns.

Abanti Personally

Outside of the therapy room, Abanti finds balance through her morning matcha ritual, strength training at the gym, or practicing yoga. On quieter days, she enjoys binge-watching a good TV series and recharging with her nearest and dearest.
