Liz’s approach to therapy is authentic, respectful and compassionate. She believes that building a strong, trusting connection is key to achieving positive outcomes in therapy. She approaches each session with curiosity, understanding, and respect, creating a safe space where clients feel comfortable to explore their challenges. Together, Liz seeks to understand the factors shaping a client’s experiences while honouring their expertise in their own life. Liz works collaboratively with clients to set meaningful goals, fostering open dialogue throughout therapy to ensure progress feels supportive and aligned with their needs. Liz offers an adaptive and flexible approach to therapy, incorporating different therapeutic modalities depending on the client’s needs.
Experiences and Interests
Liz has extensive experience working with adults and young adults across various settings, including private practice, tertiary education, employee assistance programs, and, most recently, providing mental health education, treatment, and support to frontline emergency personnel and their families. This has given her deep insight into the effects of traumatic stress on both work and mental well-being. Throughout her career, Liz has helped individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, mood disorders, relationship and workplace conflicts, stress, trauma, substance abuse, grief and loss, low self-esteem, major life transitions, perfectionism, and sleep difficulties. She has also supported those recovering from workplace injuries and physical trauma caused by accidents. She has a strong passion for helping individuals and executives manage workplace stress and assisting those struggling with emotional regulation, life transitions, and trauma.

Liz derives her work from multiple therapeutic frameworks, carefully tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs. She incorporates a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, Compassion Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Restructuring (EMDR), and Mindfulness practices, ensuring a flexible and personalised therapeutic experience.
