Grace is a friendly and compassionate psychologist who balances warmth and professionalism to work towards the best outcomes for her clients. She is dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgemental therapy space, and empowering clients to work towards leading a full and meaningful life.

Approach

Grace adopts a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy. She recognises that each person is an expert in their own lives, and based on this, tailors sessions to individual strengths, experiences, and preferences. Grace brings authenticity and a gentle sense of humour to her therapeutic work. She prioritises building a strong therapeutic relationship to provide a supportive, safe environment that allows clients to show up exactly as they are, and facilitates meaningful change.

Experience and Interests

Grace has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including young children, adolescents and adults. She has worked across school, private practice and community mental health settings. Grace has experience and interest working with clients across a range of difficulties, including depression, generalised and social anxiety, low self-esteem, poor body image, stress, and disordered eating and exercise.

Grace has also previously worked in the gambling disorder space, and has an interest in the broader area of addiction. She also has a particular interest in eating disorders and hopes to undertake further training to become an accredited eating disorder clinician.

Therapies

Grace incorporates aspects of various evidence-based psychological therapy modalities, primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Grace uses these interventions flexibly, based on individual client presentations and goals.

Grace Personally

Outside of work, Grace loves spending time with friends, visiting family in regional Victoria, being out in nature and reading. She is also an avid Carlton fan and loves watching the footy.
