Approach

Kamil’s therapeutic orientation is guided by a holistic integrative approach to mental well-being. He trusts in each person’s inherent potential to experience wholeness through self-compassion and self-inquiry/self-awareness. Kamil is committed to creating a person-centred, safe, non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic experience. He is flexible in his practice and works in the most suitable and helpful ways for each individual.

Experiences and Interests

Kamil’s main areas of interest include supporting people with trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, existential problems, anger issues, grief and loss, addiction and LGBTIQ+ related challenges. Kamil is also passionate about supporting individuals experiencing chronic pain and psychological distress related to physical illnesses, especially cancer patients and their families, given his PhD research in this area. Kamil has lived in Asia, Europe, and South America, which informs his culturally sensitive approach to working with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions.

Therapies

Kamil’s way of working is influenced by the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model, trauma-informed practice, attachment theory and polyvagal theory. He draws from evidence-based modalities e.g., Mindfulness-based, and Somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems, Compassion Focused Therapy, Adult Attachment Repair Therapy, Schema Therapy, Psychodrama, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

Kamil Personally

Kamil enjoys spending time in nature and playing music. He is an avid explorer of various cultures, and ancient wisdom traditions. He values keeping his mind-body healthy through practices of yoga, capoeira, and dancing. Kamil is a passionate drummer and flute player.
