Whilst Eloise implements evidence-based practices, she tailors them to each client’s individual needs. She understands that everyone is unique and will work with you to find the best solutions for your specific situation and goals. This means that your time together is collaborative. Eloise believes that clients have the internal tools and resources to flourish, so she encourages clients to take an active role in their treatment. Eloise finds this helps clients feel empowered to develop meaningful and sustainable changes in their life.
Experiences and Interests
Eloise has experience providing 1:1 and group therapy in various settings, including private psychiatric facilities, not-for-profits and public community health. She has worked with individuals to manage and overcome depression and anxiety, PTSD, substance use issues, chronic/acute health concerns, grief and loss, low self-esteem, adjustment to significant life events, feeling lost and directionless, and relationship difficulties. Eloise is skilled in helping people overcome trauma (such as PTSD, grief and loss, and complex trauma) through using EMDR. Eloise provides a safe space for the LGBTIQA++ community.
Therapies
Eloise takes a client-centred approach in her work and not only aims to help you reduce psychological distress but also aims to help you thrive in your wellbeing. She does this by integrating therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Eloise also integrates mindfulness and somatic (body) based strategies as she understands the importance of the mind and body connection for our overall psychological and physical wellbeing.
