Experiences and Interests
Carla has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults across private, public and community settings. She is skilled at supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders like OCD, social anxiety, general anxiety, phobia, panic; depression, trauma and PTSD, adjustment disorders, body-image and disordered eating, low self-esteem, grief and loss, identity issues, work-life stress and balance, life transitions, and living with chronic illness. Having worked clinically in Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Carla is also adept in supporting young people and adults who are adjusting to a cancer diagnosis.
Carla holds expertise in supporting individuals living with complex mental health challenges such as mood disorders, bipolar and psychosis. She is also passionate about supporting the wellbeing of their loved ones, including siblings, parents, and carers. In addition to private practice, Carla works as a researcher designing, developing, and evaluating digital mental health interventions for young people. Further, Carla works as a board-approved supervisor providing clinical supervision to psychologists in training.
